Duke Out of the Blue

About Us

Founded in 1980, Out of the Blue is Duke's oldest all-female a cappella group as well as Duke's most award-winning a cappella group. From Cameron Indoor Stadium to Carnegie Hall, we have performed for countless audiences at local, out-of-state, and overseas venues- we even opened for Jay Leno in DPAC this past fall! Out of the Blue has consistently been recognized as one of the best collegiate a cappella groups in the country. Our albums and recordings have been recognized by the Contemporary A Cappella Society and have been featured on multiple Best of College A Cappella albums.

We are excited to be accepting spring auditions and for the opportunity to get to know each and every one of you better! Anyone is welcome to submit an audition for Out of the Blue this spring, but special consideration will be given to candidates who sing high soprano (Soprano 1) or low alto (Alto 2/Bass).

Music

Landslide from our latest album, Studio 104!  We released this album last January, and it was nominated for a CARA award for Best Female Collegiate Album! Given the circumstances, we recorded a special "virtual choir" rendition of our arrangement this summer.
